Extraction vs. circulation
An extractive model takes a community's attention, data, and money and routes the profit outward to a distant owner. The community does the work; somewhere else captures the reward.
A circulating model does the reverse. The same tools that help a local business get found, get booked, and get paid also keep more of that value inside the local economy — recirculating between neighbours, vendors, and the people who live there.
